Ongoing Opportunities with the
Umbrella Mobile Clinic:

The Umbrella Mobile Clinic relies on volunteers to bring much needed medical services to the temporary farm workers who come from Mexico and Guatemala to work in the Fraser Valley. The Mobile Clinic team is comprised of passionate health professionals and general crew members who are committed to health equity and supporting the migrants who are integral to BC’s agricultural industry.

For all of our volunteer positions we require a commitment of at least one Sunday per month.

We are looking for crew members, drivers, and BC licensed GPs and Nurse Practitioners, and physiotherapists. Please fill out the online form or download our Volunteer Form below.

*BC Licensed GP and Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for physicians and nurse practitioners who enjoy working in a team environment who have experience or an interest in working with migrants. Spanish fluency is not a requirement, as clinicians work together with a Cross Cultural Health Broker.

*BC Licensed Physiotherapist

We are looking for physios who enjoy working in a team environment who have experience or an interest in working with migrants. Spanish fluency is an asset, but not required.

*Crew Member

The Mobile Clinic depends on the help of general volunteers in the areas of intake, pharmacy help, patient health information, social conversations, and set-up/take-down. We are looking for people with Spanish fluency, preferably with experience in health care, community development, or migration.

*Driver

Our Mobile Clinic operates out of a converted trailer that is stored in New Westminster. The trailer is hitched to a truck and travels to various sites in the Fraser Valley. We are looking for drivers with a valid BC driver’s license and experienced in towing. Spanish fluency is an asset, but not required.
